Mount Lawley sits about five kilometres north of the Perth CBD, an inner-city pocket of Federation cottages, Art Deco shopfronts and one of the city’s most loved café strips. We deliver fresh, hand-tied flowers here six days a week from our studio at Thornlie Square. Order by 4 PM Monday to Saturday and your bouquet leaves the same day.

We’re a real Perth florist — not a relay platform forwarding your order to whoever’s nearest. Every bouquet is arranged by our team in Thornlie and driven out by us. Flat $15 delivery, handwritten gift card included, care instructions tucked in with the stems, and a 100% freshness guarantee on every arrangement.

Quick facts: Same-day cut-off 4 PM Mon–Sat · $15 flat delivery · Hand-tied at our Thornlie studio · Handwritten card · Care guide included · 100% freshness guarantee · Call 08 9459 2500

Do you deliver to Mount Lawley today?

Yes. If your order is placed before 4 PM Monday to Saturday, it’ll be delivered the same day to any address in postcode 6050 — homes off Beaufort Street, businesses along Walcott Street, the ECU campus, or St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital on Thirlmere Road.

Why Mount Lawley Locals Choose Perth Petals

Search “flower delivery Mount Lawley” and most of the results aren’t actually Mount Lawley florists. You’ll find national relay platforms with no shopfront, a florist based in the Perth Hills more than thirty kilometres east, and a few listings with the wrong postcode entirely. It’s a frustrating search if you just want flowers delivered properly to a Federation home on Second Avenue.

Here’s what’s different about us. We arrange your bouquet ourselves. We deliver it ourselves. If something’s wrong, you ring one number — 08 9459 2500 — and you speak to the people who made it. No call centres, no third-party drivers, no “the local florist will sort it.”

Mount Lawley sits squarely on our daily northern metro run. From Thornlie, our drivers head up through the inner suburbs every morning and afternoon — Beaufort Street and the streets running off it are familiar territory, not a one-off detour.

Same-Day Flower Delivery to Mount Lawley

Our same-day cut-off is 4 PM Monday to Saturday — usually two to three hours later than the florists you’ll see ranking alongside us. Most inner-city Perth florists cut off around 12:30 PM to 2 PM. National platforms cut off at midday. We hold the door open until late afternoon because Mount Lawley’s customer base is largely working professionals who finalise plans after lunch, not before.

How it works:

  • Order online or call us — browse our range or ring 08 9459 2500 if you want something built around a brief.
  • Arranged fresh in Thornlie — every bouquet is hand-tied the day it’s delivered, never pulled from a chilled stockpile.
  • Delivered same day — flat $15 anywhere in postcode 6050, handwritten card, care instructions, freshness guarantee.

Orders placed after 4 PM, or any time on Sunday, are delivered the next business day. If you need a specific delivery window — before a birthday lunch, during a hospital visiting hour, after school pickup — leave a note at checkout or mention it when you call. We’ll do what we can.

What People Send to Mount Lawley

Mount Lawley’s mix of long-term residents, young professionals and creative households means we deliver across just about every occasion. A few of the more common ones:

Birthday Flowers

Surprise deliveries to homes on the avenues between Beaufort Street and the Swan River, to colleagues at offices on Walcott Street, to baristas and chefs along the Beaufort Street strip, or to students and staff on the ECU campus. Birthday bouquets pair beautifully with our roses, bright seasonal mixes, or a native arrangement if the recipient leans more bushland than European.

Anniversary Flowers

Mount Lawley is one of Perth’s most romantic suburbs to give flowers in — heritage streetscapes, candlelit dinners along Beaufort Street, a film at the Astor. Roses remain the classic, but we also build mixed garden-style arrangements that suit a Federation cottage table better than a dozen long-stems alone.

Sympathy and Funeral Flowers

We deliver sympathy bouquets to homes across Mount Lawley and arrangements directly to funeral services. For funeral home or church deliveries, please include the service time and venue at checkout so we can time the delivery correctly. White and cream palettes — lilies, roses, chrysanthemums, native foliage — are most common, but we’ll work to any brief.

Get Well Flowers and Hospital Delivery

St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital on Thirlmere Road is the main hospital within the suburb itself, and we deliver there regularly. Royal Perth Hospital is a short drive south through East Perth, and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital sits just up the Mitchell Freeway. We handle the protocols — patient name, ward, room — and drop with reception. More on hospital delivery further down the page.

New Baby and Congratulations

King Edward Memorial Hospital in Subiaco is the main maternity hospital used by Mount Lawley families, only a short drive west. Soft pinks, blues, creams, and arrangements that don’t tip over on a hospital bedside table are what work best. We also do plenty of congratulations bouquets for ECU graduations and WAAPA performance seasons.

Corporate and Office Flowers

Beaufort Street has a dense cluster of small businesses, design studios, cafés and consultancies, and we deliver weekly to several of them. Whether you want a fortnightly arrangement for a reception desk, a thank-you bouquet for a client, or a farewell gift for someone moving on, we can set up a recurring delivery or build something one-off.

Teacher Gifts and End-of-Term Bouquets

Mount Lawley has more schools per square kilometre than most Perth suburbs — Mount Lawley Senior High School with nearly 2,000 students, Mount Lawley Primary School, Perth College, and St Paul’s Catholic Primary School. End-of-term and teacher appreciation deliveries pick up sharply in late June, late September and early December.

Where We Deliver Across Mount Lawley 6050

Postcode 6050 is one of Perth’s more compact inner suburbs, but it packs a lot in. We deliver to every street, every business address, and every venue within it. A short rundown of the areas we cover most often:

  • Beaufort Street strip — the cultural and commercial spine of Mount Lawley. Café, restaurant and retail deliveries to addresses between Walcott Street and the Inglewood boundary. Queens Tavern, The Beaufort, Mary Street Bakery, Le Rebelle, Ischia and dozens of independent boutiques.
  • Walcott Street intersection — the commercial heart where Beaufort meets Walcott. Mixed-use buildings, small offices and street-front businesses.
  • The avenues — First, Second, Third, Fourth Avenue and the leafy residential streets between Beaufort Street and the Swan River. Heritage Federation, Art Deco and Californian Bungalow homes dominate.
  • Edith Cowan University Mount Lawley campus — including WAAPA. Graduations, opening nights, faculty thank-yous and student deliveries.
  • Around Mount Lawley Train Station — Midland line, walking-distance apartments, and the quieter end of the suburb.
  • Mount Lawley Golf Club — event deliveries, member gifts and presentations.
  • Hamer Park — bowls, tennis and community events on weekends.
  • Hyde Park edge — technically the Highgate boundary, but it’s Mount Lawley’s defining green space.

We also deliver to all the bordering suburbs as part of our inner-north route — Inglewood, Highgate, North Perth, Maylands, Menora, East Perth and Bayswater. If you’re sending flowers to one of these and want to combine it with a Mount Lawley address, just let us know and we’ll coordinate it.

For deliveries to SJOG Mt Lawley, please include:

  • The patient’s full name

A Bit About Mount Lawley

Mount Lawley is part of the City of Stirling, sitting about five kilometres north of the Perth CBD with a population of roughly 11,000. It’s named after Sir Arthur Lawley, Governor of Western Australia from 1901 to 1902. The land was subdivided from 1892 by the Sydney & Perth Land Building & Investment Company, and the suburb grew through the early twentieth century into one of Perth’s earliest “streetcar suburbs”.

The traditional owners of this land are the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. The wetland known to them as Boodjamooling — now Hyde Park, just across the southern boundary — was a long-established meeting, fishing and camping ground.

Beaufort Street is the suburb’s defining feature: a long, walkable strip of cafés, restaurants, wine bars, galleries and independent retail. It’s also one of Perth’s most architecturally rich streets, lined with heritage Federation, Art Deco, Californian Bungalow and Tudor Revival buildings.

The Astor Theatre, on the corner of Beaufort and Walcott, is the suburb’s landmark. Originally built in 1919 and remodelled in 1939, it’s listed on the State Heritage Register and remains a working venue for live music and film. The Mount Lawley Heritage Walk — ten bronze plaques set into the Beaufort Street footpath — tells the suburb’s story stop by stop.

Education is a major part of the suburb’s character. Mount Lawley Senior High School is one of the largest public secondary schools in WA, with around 1,900 students. Perth College — a private Anglican girls’ school running K–12 — sits a few blocks east. Mount Lawley Primary School and St Paul’s Catholic Primary School round out the local options. Edith Cowan University’s Mount Lawley campus — home to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) — brings several thousand students and staff into the suburb daily.

Mount Lawley Train Station sits on the Midland line, with buses running constantly along Beaufort Street. By car, the CBD is five minutes via Beaufort Street or the Graham Farmer Freeway. It’s an inner-city suburb in every practical sense, but the streetscapes still feel residential — leafy, slow, and built on a human scale.
