Hammond Park is a suburb in the City of Cockburn, about 27 km south of the Perth CBD, with the postcode 6164. It was formally created in March 2002 from land that previously fell under Banjup and takes its name from James Hammond, a pioneer who settled in the Jandakot district in 1887.

It’s a young suburb in both senses. Most of the housing stock is less than 20 years old, and the demographics lean heavily towards young families and couples. The population sits around 7,000 (2021 Census), and that number has been climbing steadily as new estates like Kinside continue to release land.
