Leederville is one of Perth’s oldest suburbs, named in 1893 after William Henry Lee — an early landowner. The Whadjuk Noongar people are the traditional owners of this land. Lake Monger — known to the Whadjuk as Galup — sits immediately west, a wetland and meeting place of deep cultural significance long before colonial settlement.

Transport is excellent. Leederville train station sits at the southern end of Oxford Street, serving both the Joondalup and Fremantle lines, with the CBD three minutes away.
